Spring is here!!

Hi everyone!

I can't belive I haven't blogged in almost a month! I've been super busy over the past couples weeks between my Etsy shop and my day job.

I've been dreaming and creating new items for my shop and am getting so excited to post them! I've also been working on many wholesale words and selling my birdie sachets in shops along the East Coast. I'm so happy and haven't had a break with sewing!

My most recent listing on Etsy have been embroidered pillows that I have been working on since the Philly Flower Show in the beginning of March. I finally got a chance to post them last week and have already sold my two favorites! Hopefully, there will be more to come!

I have also begun to switch my mind totally to summer when creating my items. My newer items will be inspired my fruits, flowers and the beach! Be sure to keep checking back to the shop!

And finally, I have a flickr site now! You can view photos of my items, vacations, and just life at:

I hope everyone has a nice, happy day!

Back to the Sewing World!

Hi everyone,
I have been feverishly working both at work and at home. Finally, I had some down time to create a few new items and ideas for my etsy shop!

Ever since our nice, warm weekend we had here a few days ago, I've been dying for spring and summer to arrive. Ever since September, I've been planning on changing the color and theme of my bedroom at our shore house. It is currently roses, but now, I wish to switch it to something beachy. I currently have a collection of flip-flop items and my surfboard in my room, so I think I finally will bring the beach inside (without the sand of course!) With this idea in mind, I've creating a line of new items for my etsy shop! Ready.....here they are!!!

Introducing.....my new Itsy Bitsy Bikini! These new little cuties are probably my favorite from my shop so far! The bikini shown is unscented, but the option to add a scent will be available. Colors will also include: hot pink, light green, neon blue, yellow, multicolored stripes. The hangers are also made by me!

These little bikinis will be perfect for summer picnic favors, wall decoration, even car ornaments.

They will be available to purchase in the beginning of April!

Please stay tuned for more items to be announced. Also, I will be featuring a giveaway next week!

Hope you all have a nice weekend!

Finally, back to reality....or am I?

Hi all!

I'm finally back to my shop and blogging after a busy couple of weeks! During the past two days, I have been working at the Philadelphia Flower Show. If you live close by, and haven't visited it yet, I suggest you do! It was definatly a pick-me-up to see all the beautiful flowers after trudging through the snow to get there. I am a warm weather person, and after seeing all of the fresh cut flowers and gardening supplies, I cannot wait to get outside and get my hands dirty!

Its the perfect time to start your flowers and veggies from seeds. I saw Burpee Seeds at the flower show and they have an awsome seed starting system you can purchase there. It takes away the guess work for watering your seeds and transplants. If your like me, I tend to give up on seeds because when I water them in, I usually water it too hard and wash the seeds away. :( The sytem that Burpee has enables you to just water a mat the seedling tray rests on so the seeds are watered from the bottom up. It's a really cool sytem. I bought 2! I can't wait to start my flowers. :)

Besides starting my seedlings, the past snow storm we had made me really, really, really want spring to come quickly. I'm in the planning process of a bunch of new 'warm weather' items for my shop. I can't wait to start them! I'm also beginning to embroider again. I found an awsome book when I was out shopping last weekend that made me want to start up again. I used to do alot of ribbon embroidery while I was in college (huge stress reliver for me), but I found that the designs that I was stitching were too old fashioned looking for my taste. So, now that I have a tiny amount of free time in my day, I want to begin my own designs and start to post them on my shop as well.

Well, I must be going. I will post another entry soon. I have so much to talk about!

~A Winter Wonderland~

Hi all,

We had some sort of a snow "storm" yesterday and I have to share my photos with you! Since the snow was heavy and wet, it clung to anything it could, making everything have a gorgeous white glow! I hope you enjoy them!

This was taken while it was still snowing last night.

And this is what I woke up to this morning. :)

New in February!

Happy February!

So far, I see this month bringing new items and changes to my shop. I've been on Etsy for about 3 months now and I think I'm ready to expand a bit. To start, I have added a new scent collection to my items! These scents include: cinnamon and cloves, lemon, mint, rosemary, and chamomile, in addition to lavender. I also have added catnip to my selection, but I am not sure of what type of kitty toys I wanna make yet. :)

Cinnamon Sachets: $12 (Set of 3)

I am also bringing in some of my new sachets designs: simplicity. These designs are just simple shapes, made out of lovely, durable home decor fabrics. They can be customized to be stuffed with your favorite scent!

Simplistic Sachets: $4.50 each (not currently listed in shop)

I've also been bringing in many more home decor fabric designs. This extra texture gives my items a richer look. My Birdie Sachets are also receiving this make over as well. I am also adding charms to these 'higher end' birds for an extra touch! Here are 2 of my newest pieces:

Black and White Decor Birdie Sachet: $5

Love Bird Sachet Set: $9

Last but not least, I am adding a line of Emery pincushions to my shop. Emery is a great grain like material that helps sharpen pins and needles every time your pincushion is used.

Mini Emery pincushion: $3.50 each

So after seeing these new products, I hope you stop by my shop and check them out! New colors will be added as the month goes on. If you need anything in a larger quantity, send me a message!!

Yey for Tuesday!!

Hi everyone!
Happy Tuesday! Thank God Monday is over and done with! haha.
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I got to visit my boyfriend for a fews days, so that made me happy. :) This next weekend, I'm home, and hopefully getting all of my etsy chores done. I just started to fill out the Seller's Worksheet from Etsy, and man, is that gonna be some hard work!! If you sell on Etsy, it's a good tool to use to get your costs and profit straight! I still don't even know if I'm making any money yet, haha. I'll add the link to the end of this post if you would like to use it!
I would like to figure out if it is worth it to do another craft show. My first show was last October. It might have been a good one, but it was freezing cold and rainy that day. And ontop of it, it was in a shore town, so not many people showed up. I would like to do another one sometime, but I have to finish calculating everything first. Fun times. :)
I'm still getting some orders together for some Valentine's Day gifts, so I better go! I leave you with a few of my favorite "lovable" items from my shop! Enjoy!

Valentine's Day is near.....

Hi all!!

I hope you all had a great week! I've been so busy since the last time I posted! I spent a well rested weekend at the boyfriends house last weekend, had a solid week at work, then got the sweat kicked out of me at a hip hop class yesterday with my best friend! :) All in all, it's been a good couple days.

Ever since my last post about the heart treasury, I can't get Valentine's Day out of my head. Even though I don't consider myself a hopeless romantic, Valentine's Day is one of my favorite, smaller, holidays. Yes, I am a huge fan of pink and love and hearts, so, maybe that as something to do with it. :) Since my last post, I created some new sachets for my shop. As you see in the first picture above, I made a few that focused on Valentine's Day! I have posted them already in my shop in addition to lowering my domestic shipping prices too!

As the week goes on, I have a few more mini-rectangular sachets that I will be posting in a variety of different colors and patterns. I also have a sewing set which will include a linen sachet with a mini emery filled pincushion. I'm so excited! I hope you like them all!!

My next post will hopefully be about the many uses of my Little Birdie Sachets.

Talk to you all later!

Mmmm....treasure!

Hi everyone!

How are all of you? Happy 2009!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the new year! I started out the year with 3 sales, so I'm happy, haha.

Yesterday's stall of the treasury caused a LARGE number of new treasuries to be created since everyone was waiting for so long! Luckily, as I scrolled through after the damage had been done, I found another Philly Etsy Team treasury! Go Philly!

(Click on the treasury to visit the real one!)

This beautiful treasury was created by Boto Designs! Check out her site! I'm so glad my *NEW* Birdie Sachets made it! Yey!

This treasury will expire on January 9 at 1am! Visit soon!!

New Birdies Big Debut!!

Good afternoon everyone!

I finally got the chance to post my new birdie sachets on my etsy website yesterday! I'm so excited! I love the fabric and patterns that I bought for them. They are so much fun to make and I'm so happy with the sales of my purple ones.

Hopefully these new colors will brighten up your day like they did mine.
In the near future, I will have a post about these little birdies and all you can do with them! Stop by my shop and pick out your favorite one!
