Back to the Sewing World!

Hi everyone,
I have been feverishly working both at work and at home. Finally, I had some down time to create a few new items and ideas for my etsy shop!

Ever since our nice, warm weekend we had here a few days ago, I've been dying for spring and summer to arrive. Ever since September, I've been planning on changing the color and theme of my bedroom at our shore house. It is currently roses, but now, I wish to switch it to something beachy. I currently have a collection of flip-flop items and my surfboard in my room, so I think I finally will bring the beach inside (without the sand of course!) With this idea in mind, I've creating a line of new items for my etsy shop! Ready.....here they are!!!

Introducing.....my new Itsy Bitsy Bikini! These new little cuties are probably my favorite from my shop so far! The bikini shown is unscented, but the option to add a scent will be available. Colors will also include: hot pink, light green, neon blue, yellow, multicolored stripes. The hangers are also made by me!

These little bikinis will be perfect for summer picnic favors, wall decoration, even car ornaments.

They will be available to purchase in the beginning of April!

Please stay tuned for more items to be announced. Also, I will be featuring a giveaway next week!

Hope you all have a nice weekend!

Finally, back to reality....or am I?

Hi all!

I'm finally back to my shop and blogging after a busy couple of weeks! During the past two days, I have been working at the Philadelphia Flower Show. If you live close by, and haven't visited it yet, I suggest you do! It was definatly a pick-me-up to see all the beautiful flowers after trudging through the snow to get there. I am a warm weather person, and after seeing all of the fresh cut flowers and gardening supplies, I cannot wait to get outside and get my hands dirty!

Its the perfect time to start your flowers and veggies from seeds. I saw Burpee Seeds at the flower show and they have an awsome seed starting system you can purchase there. It takes away the guess work for watering your seeds and transplants. If your like me, I tend to give up on seeds because when I water them in, I usually water it too hard and wash the seeds away. :( The sytem that Burpee has enables you to just water a mat the seedling tray rests on so the seeds are watered from the bottom up. It's a really cool sytem. I bought 2! I can't wait to start my flowers. :)

Besides starting my seedlings, the past snow storm we had made me really, really, really want spring to come quickly. I'm in the planning process of a bunch of new 'warm weather' items for my shop. I can't wait to start them! I'm also beginning to embroider again. I found an awsome book when I was out shopping last weekend that made me want to start up again. I used to do alot of ribbon embroidery while I was in college (huge stress reliver for me), but I found that the designs that I was stitching were too old fashioned looking for my taste. So, now that I have a tiny amount of free time in my day, I want to begin my own designs and start to post them on my shop as well.

Well, I must be going. I will post another entry soon. I have so much to talk about!
