Hi all!
I'm finally back to my shop and blogging after a busy couple of weeks! During the past two days, I have been working at the Philadelphia Flower Show. If you live close by, and haven't visited it yet, I suggest you do! It was definatly a pick-me-up to see all the beautiful flowers after trudging through the snow to get there. I am a warm weather person, and after seeing all of the fresh cut flowers and gardening supplies, I cannot wait to get outside and get my hands dirty!
Its the perfect time to start your flowers and veggies from seeds. I saw Burpee Seeds at the flower show and they have an awsome seed starting system you can purchase there. It takes away the guess work for watering your seeds and transplants. If your like me, I tend to give up on seeds because when I water them in, I usually water it too hard and wash the seeds away. :( The sytem that Burpee has enables you to just water a mat the seedling tray rests on so the seeds are watered from the bottom up. It's a really cool sytem. I bought 2! I can't wait to start my flowers. :)
Besides starting my seedlings, the past snow storm we had made me really, really, really want spring to come quickly. I'm in the planning process of a bunch of new 'warm weather' items for my shop. I can't wait to start them! I'm also beginning to embroider again. I found an awsome book when I was out shopping last weekend that made me want to start up again. I used to do alot of ribbon embroidery while I was in college (huge stress reliver for me), but I found that the designs that I was stitching were too old fashioned looking for my taste. So, now that I have a tiny amount of free time in my day, I want to begin my own designs and start to post them on my shop as well.
Well, I must be going. I will post another entry soon. I have so much to talk about!
So many ideas, so little time!! I got distracted yesterday when I remembered something I used to do, and enjoy, and of course, got busy doing it again. Everything else was forgotten for the day. But isn't that what it's all about? I moved away and miss my annual trip to the flower and garden show in RI with my best friend. You are right, it does chase away those wintertime blues~brings hope.
